Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, installations, repairs, and services provided by Googong Irrigation & Landscape (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting our quote or engaging our services, you agree to the following:

1. Scope of Works

All work will be carried out as described in the approved quote or service request. This may include irrigation installation, smart controller setup, troubleshooting, repairs, dripline replacement, valve repairs, or other related works.

Any additional work requested by the customer outside the quoted or initial scope—such as locating hidden pipes, repairing pre-existing damage, adding sprinklers, replacing fittings, or rectifying unknown faults—may incur additional charges. These will always be discussed with you beforehand.

2. Materials & Equipment

We use reputable irrigation components, fittings, and controllers sourced from trusted suppliers. All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Any materials supplied by us remain our property until the invoice is paid in full.

If the customer supplies their own materials, we cannot guarantee lifespan, compatibility, or performance.

3. Installation & Repairs

All work is completed to industry standards and with care for your garden and property. We will:

  • Install or repair systems neatly and safely
  • Attempt to minimise disturbance to turf, garden beds, and existing landscaping
  • Demonstrate system operation upon completion

However, due to the nature of underground irrigation systems, minor disturbance to soil, turf, or mulch is sometimes unavoidable.

We are not responsible for issues caused by:

  • Existing leaks or broken pipes not visible at the time of quoting
  • Poor water pressure from the property supply
  • Faulty bore pumps or external plumbing issues
  • Pre-existing system faults or non-compliant installations

4. Access to the Property

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to all areas required for work, including side gates, irrigation valves, tap points, power supplies, smart Wi-Fi controllers, and Wi-Fi passwords where needed.

If access is delayed or unavailable, additional charges may apply for reattendance.

5. Payment Terms

We keep payment simple and fair.

  • No deposit is required unless stated otherwise.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of completion of the work.
  • Payments can be made via bank transfer or other listed methods.
  • Overdue accounts may incur reasonable late fees or recovery costs if required.

We always encourage customers to reach out early if they’re experiencing genuine payment difficulties—happy to help.

6. Warranty

  • Workmanship warranty: 12 months on new installations and repairs completed by us.
  • Manufacturer warranty: As provided by product suppliers.

Warranty does not apply to faults caused by:

  • Tree root intrusion
  • Accidental damage
  • Lawn maintenance equipment
  • Soil movement
  • Pets
  • Power issues or Wi-Fi network changes affecting smart controllers

We’re happy to provide a quote for non-warranty repairs or adjustments at any time.

7. Smart Irrigation Controllers & Wi-Fi

Smart irrigation systems rely on your home Wi-Fi, router settings, and internet service. While we will set up and test your controller at the time of installation, we cannot guarantee ongoing performance if:

  • The modem/router is replaced or reset
  • Wi-Fi coverage is weak in the controller location
  • Network passwords are changed
  • Internet service is interrupted

We can assist with Wi-Fi troubleshooting or relocation work as needed.

8. Locating Existing Irrigation

Where the job requires locating buried pipes, solenoids, or wiring, results can vary depending on soil conditions, installation history, and interference. Locating time will be billed as part of the service unless included in a fixed-price quote.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

You may reschedule or cancel at any time before the day of service without fees. For same-day cancellations where travel or attendance has commenced, a small call-out fee may apply.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Damage caused by undetected underground conditions
  • Failures related to external plumbing, pumps, or electrical supply
  • Consequential loss such as plant death due to water restrictions, system failures, or drought

Our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the appropriate portion of the work.

11. Privacy

Any customer information, irrigation plans, system layouts, or access details shared with us are treated confidentially and used only for installation, maintenance, or support.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting our quote or proceeding with the service, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
